Designing a bookshelf speaker is not an easy task, the challenge being to reproduce low frequencies in a reduced cabinet volume. It is necessary to achieve the perfect synthesis of electronics, acoustics and cabinetmaking.
First of all, cabinetmaking must be as rigid and anti-vibration as possible, which implies the use of high-density materials combined with optimum machining precision. All our cabinetmaking is made for this purpose. The new KC100 is no exception to the rule. The internal volume of the enclosure is carefully calculated as well as the dimensions of the tuning vent for each of the speakers used. The Bass Reflex solution was chosen, it increases the bass response and improves efficiency.
The loudspeakers used in the KC100 are made to specifications to rigorously obtain the desired result. The woofers have treated paper membranes for greater sound neutrality and the very pure copper moving coils are mounted on kapton supports. For greater smoothness and the absence of aggressiveness, the tweeters have impregnated fabric membranes. The moving coils are cooled in ferrofluid.

HEART OF THE SYSTEM: CLASS AB AMPLIFICATION The ZENEO ZX system has four completely independent amplifiers whose function is to power each speaker. The advantage of multi-amplification is that it allows customization for each type of speaker. The woofers will be powered by 70W RMS / 150W pulse class AB amplifiers and the tweeters by 20W RMS / 40W pulse class AB amplifiers. Class AB is a combination of class A and class B which gives it its exceptional musicality, it is the most used amplification class in hifi amplifiers for demanding audiophiles. On the other hand, this type of amplifier requires a quality power supply and heat sinks which makes it a fairly expensive solution but unbeatable in terms of sound quality.
