Our interview with the brand

What are two key technological innovations or strong opinions that differ you from other brands?

Our ribbon-planar woofers do have big surface like most of dipoles but also long stroke capability that allows huge air volume movement and deep and strong bass. Also push-pull magnets allow higher efficiency and linear magnetic field and consequently low distortion and signal compression.

What's your approach to customer support?

Customers can contact either us directly or the distributors. We support with all technical questions, dealers-distributors support on all price/delivery questions. We give a 5 year long warranty and support customers in case of technical issues through distributors or directly according to the type of issue. Most times shipping back to the factory is not necessary and we try to avoid it with on site actions. We also support customers with speakers positioning and advices on other system elements.

What are your favorite tracks for showcasing the strength of your products?

  • We often use Garcia-Fons Solo first track.
  • Harry Connick Jr Chanson du Vieux Carre’ track 1 or 8.
  • Wende Chante! Track 18 but all are great

What other products pair best with yours?

We love cables by Omega Audio Concepts, Amps by the same company, Soulution, HiFi-ONE Berning, Pilium, Jadis and many others. We also really enjoy pairing with Absolare amplifiers. We prefer CD as digital source and our CDP is made by Omega Audio Concepts.

Lineup comparison

We think it's helpful to understand how their products compare. To learn more about each, scroll to the section above to click through to individual product pages.

TINTORETTO

  • Positioning: The entry-level model in the Alsyvox lineup.
  • Description: Features a compact design, making it ideal for smaller rooms ranging from 15 to 50 square meters. Maintains the same high-quality components as larger models but in a smaller form factor, which makes it more accessible for those with limited space and budget. Offers high sensitivity at 93dB, allowing compatibility with a wide range of amplifiers, similar to the Botticelli but with a smaller woofer surface.

BOTTICELLI

  • Positioning: Positioned as a mid-range model, suitable for medium-sized rooms.
  • Description: Features a balance of size and performance, recommended for rooms between 25 and 100 square meters. Offers a slightly higher sensitivity of 94dB compared to Tintoretto, providing a broader dynamic range and deeper bass response. The option to upgrade with external crossovers enhances its resolution and transparency, setting it apart from the Tintoretto and aligning it closer to the Caravaggio in terms of performance.

CARAVAGGIO

  • Positioning: A high-end model, made on request, and is more exclusive than the Botticelli.
  • Description: Features an advanced four-way design, which includes a new ribbon midrange, making it suitable for larger rooms from 40 to 120 square meters. Offers a more complex soundstage with its additional midrange compared to the Botticelli, and its high sensitivity of 94dB allows for versatile amplifier pairing. The option for dedicated subwoofer panels further distinguishes it from the Botticelli and Tintoretto.

RAFFAELLO

  • Positioning: A premium model, offering a symmetrical design for improved room interaction.
  • Description: Features a double midtweeter and woofer configuration, providing higher dynamics and resolution than the Caravaggio. Recommended for rooms larger than 50 square meters, offering better imaging and interaction with room acoustics. The inclusion of XX quality crossovers as standard elevates its performance.

MICHELANGELO

  • Positioning: The flagship model of the Alsyvox lineup.
  • Description: Features a groundbreaking fully symmetrical three-panel design, offering the highest dynamics and resolution in the lineup. Designed for very large rooms, with a minimum width of 6 meters, and features a sensitivity of up to 98dB, surpassing the Raffaello. Its extensive emission surface and advanced crossover design provide exceptional soundstage and bass depth.

Our interview with the brand

What are two key technological innovations or strong opinions that differ you from other brands?

We’re about planar magnetic speakers—with actual bass. Many others of this type don't have bass. Instead of just having magnets on one plane on either side of the voice coil, we put them front and back. We’re a cross between a Magnepan and a Martin Logan insofar as this driver topology inspiration. This gives you more x-max so you can get more output, which means better bass response.

Tradeoffs: More expensive, and possibly still not as bassy as the biggest EDM speakers can pull off. But it’s magical for everything else.
