What's unique about the brand

PrimaLuna is known for their hybrid amplifiers that combine tube and solid-state components, featuring their unique Adaptive AutoBias technology that automatically adjusts tube performance for optimal sound and longevity.

What reviewers are saying

We read all the reviews. Here's what reviewers feel most strongly about:

  • PrimaLuna amplifiers feature Adaptive AutoBias, a proprietary circuit that automatically adjusts bias for optimal performance and extended tube life, accommodating a wide range of tube types without manual adjustments.
  • They utilize custom-wound toroidal transformers, meticulously designed in-house and potted in a non-microphonic resin, to minimize noise and ensure optimal performance across the frequency spectrum.
  • PrimaLuna employs point-to-point wiring in their products, hand-wiring critical audio signal paths with high-quality components to achieve superior signal integrity and sonic purity.
  • EVO models offer a home theater bypass input, allowing seamless integration into multi-channel systems by routing the front channels directly to the amplifier section, bypassing the preamp stage.

Our favorite reviewer quotes:

  • "What's more, the EVO 300 operates from a place of crystalline clarity with a rich timbral voice, a real marriage of strengths made in hifi heaven. Add in iron-fisted control and you've got one helluva highly recommended integrated amplifier from me and my hifi underground." (https://twitteringmachines.com/review-primaluna-evo-300-hybrid-tube-integrated-amplifier)
  • "At last, PrimaLuna has delivered me to the promised land—a hybrid power amp that not only excels at the frequency extremes but is also capable of considerable tube magic. When is an Evolution a Revolution? Answer: when it's the EVO 300 Hybrid." (https://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/primaluna-evo-300-hybrid-integrated-amplifier)
  • "While the EVO 200 pre/power's musical presentation has a gorgeous warmth and lushness, don't be fooled – we're talking iron fists in velvet gloves here. The overall effect might seem smooth and beguiling, but – like a great dancer - power and strength are disguised by grace and finesse." About the brand

Fezz Audio distinguishes itself by being the first to implement toroidal output transformers in single-ended tube amplifiers, a design choice that enhances efficiency and reduces noise. Their Evolution series, developed in collaboration with the KABO & PYDO design studio, has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Red Dot Design Award.

Our interview with the brand

What are two key technological innovations or strong opinions that differ you from other brands?

One of the key technological innovations that differs Fezz from other manufacturers is the usage of patented toroidal output transformers in our tube amplifiers. While most tube amplifier manufacturers rely on traditional EI-core transformers, we design and build our amplifiers around custom toroidal output transformers. This results in lower magnetic leakage, much improved bandwidth, and more precise bass control—qualities that are not easy to achieve with conventional designs.

Secondly, we strongly believe in balancing modern engineering with classic tube sound. Our amplifiers are meticulously tuned to retain the musical warmth and dynamics that tube enthusiasts love, while also delivering the clarity, stability, and efficiency demanded by today's high-end audio systems.

What's your approach to customer support?

We handle customer support through a dedicated network of authorized dealers and distributors, who are the first point of contact for our customers. However, we also encourage direct contact with us if a customer needs additional help or feels their issue requires further attention. Our team is always ready to support end users with technical advice, service coordination, or general questions.

What are your favorite tracks for showcasing the strength of your products?

Great question! Music is the key to everything we do.

Melody Gardot – Worrisome Heart

Stacey Kent & Jim Tomlinson – So Nice

John Lee Hooker – Susie (feat. Johnny Winter)

Katie Melua – Piece by Piece

These tracks aren't just technical tests—they're emotionally engaging, which is exactly what we want our amplifiers to bring out in every listening session.

What other products pair best with yours?

We especially love pairing our amplifiers with Klipsch, and next is the Polish brand Pylon.
