What reviewers think

Bloggers and YouTubers have tried this product—so we've summarized their strongest opinions below. Links to full reviews follow.

What are hifi reviews useful for? (1) Identifying products you should demo in person at a dealer. (2) Learning which products reviewers unanimously praise as the best they've heard (this means they probably are legitimately great). (3) Identifying a product's attributes that satisfy your idiosyncratic needs and tastes. Beyond that, we often discount what reviewers say because they heap praise on most products—and are often apprehensive about publishing strong criticism or comparisons between products. Further, they seldom have more than a few products on-hand, often relying on their memories to compare past products. Always listen for yourself.

Brand highlights

Taking a step back to look at reviewers' thoughts of the brand's entire lineup—not just this product—what stands out most is the following:

  • GigaWatt's products, from power conditioners to accessories, are designed and manufactured in-house in Poland, allowing for stringent quality control and customization of components.
  • The brand emphasizes a "no bottleneck" design, utilizing oversized internal components like massive copper rails and custom-made breakers to ensure unrestricted current flow, even under peak loads.
  • GigaWatt employs proprietary technologies like their DC Offset Blocker and compensation batteries to improve power factor and impulse response, differentiating them from standard filtering approaches.
  • They offer a range of power cables designed to synergize with their conditioners, allowing users to fine-tune the sonic characteristics of their system, from a more detailed sound to a more musical one.

PowerPrime Power Line Conditioner

  • Positioning: Entry-level line, designed for affordability and compactness.
  • Description: Offers effective surge protection and clean energy supply, making it ideal for small audio/video systems. Its compact size and DC-Blocker feature set it apart from higher-end models like the PC-4 EVO+, which offer more outlets and advanced filtering for larger setups.

PC-2 EVO+ Premium Power Line Conditioner

  • Positioning: Mid-range option for Hi-Fi audio and video systems.
  • Description: Features advanced eight-stage filter architecture, making it suitable for mid-sized systems. Unlike the PowerPrime, it offers more robust construction and better interference suppression, though it lacks the extensive connectivity of the PC-4 EVO+.

PowerControl Power Line Conditioner

  • Positioning: Compact high-performance model for versatile use.
  • Description: Combines features from both entry-level and premium models, offering 12 outlets and advanced filtering similar to the PC-4 EVO+. Its compact design works well for users needing high functionality in limited spaces, unlike the larger PowerMaster.

PC-4 EVO+ Reference Power Line Conditioner

  • Positioning: High-end model for demanding audio systems.
  • Description: Features superior protection and offers more advanced filtering and connectivity than the PC-2 EVO+, but at a higher price point.

PowerMaster Flagship Reference Power Conditioner

  • Positioning: Flagship model for ultra high-end systems.
  • Description: Features extreme durability and performance, supporting up to 12 devices. It surpasses the PC-4 EVO+ with its advanced internal architecture and higher current capacity.

Our interview with the brand

What are two key technological innovations or strong opinions that differ you from other brands?

What's your approach to customer support?

We try to pass on our knowledge to every distributor. They should pass on to dealers, and they should pass on to customers. But not everyone remembers everything. Therefore, every customer can also contact us directly.

In addition to standard warranty care, we also take care of older devices. We treat each case individually and always try to help. Even if the damage was caused by the user's negligence. We also offer upgrades for older models. We introduce a lot of improvements - for example, the latest models in the PC series: PC-2, PC-3, PC-3SE, PC-4, have 90% new components compared to those manufactured 10 years ago. So every owner of older generation device can upgrade their model to the latest specification.
