What's unique about the brand
CAT, short for Convergent Audio Technology, is an American maker of amplifiers and preamplifiers that has been in business for more than 30 years. Its stated design rule is to remove a problem at its source instead of masking it with a second, complementary problem. The tube amplifiers set their own bias automatically and carry built-in meters, and the circuit boards are treated with special adhesives to damp vibration.
