Davone is a Danish loudspeaker maker, founded in 2007, that builds its cabinets from bent plywood. Founder Paul Schenkel studied aeronautics and physics and did vibro-acoustic analysis at Philips before starting the company. Bent wood gives stiff cabinets with rounded corners that reduce diffraction, and the speakers are hand-built at Davone's own production site in Værløse, north of Copenhagen. Davone developed its own wireless system based on WiSA, so several models come as active speakers with DSP built in. The Reference line, started in 2023, is the newest series.
