What's unique about the brand
Daniel Hertz is a Swiss audio company founded by Mark Levinson. He named it after his father's first name and his mother's maiden name. Its core technology is C Wave, a patented reverb algorithm that the company says restores the continuous waveform to PCM digital audio. C Wave runs on Mighty Cat, the company's own chip, which lets each Maria amplifier act as DAC, preamplifier, power amplifier, headphone amplifier and active crossover in one chassis. The four-channel Maria bi-amplifies the company's higher-efficiency speakers, and owners can load new speaker or headphone tunings as small files.
