What's unique about the brand
Ayon Audio is an Austrian maker of tube electronics, led by designer Gerhard Hirt. The company began as VAIC and now builds tube amplifiers, preamplifiers, CD players, DACs, streamers and full-range loudspeakers. Ayon calls its house sound Voicing and applies it across every product. Amplifiers come as integrated, stereo and mono designs in both the standard range and the Evolution series, and turntable owners can add a dedicated phono preamplifier. The Absolute Sound described one Ayon mono amplifier as marrying the drive of solid state with the magic of a single-ended triode design.
