The Funk Firm is a British turntable specialist run by Arthur Khoubesserian, whose earlier company was Pink Triangle. Its products follow what it calls the Isolation Bubble, a concept of total vibration isolation for the record player. The company says its record mat uses millions of tiny bubbles to absorb the energy the stylus puts into the record, and its Houdini decoupler is designed to isolate the cartridge from tonearm vibration. The firm makes tonearms, isolation feet and upgrade kits. A short guide from Arthur helps owners choose between moving magnet and moving coil cartridges.
