What's unique about the brand
CODA is an American maker of amplifiers and preamplifiers, founded in 1985. Its founders, Eric Lauchli, B.D. Dale and Lorin Peterson, came from Threshold's research and support staff, and the company began as a consultancy called Continuum Electronics before taking the CODA name in 1989. Its first product was a FET preamplifier, and its later amplifier systems put the voltage gain and current stages on separate chassis to isolate the gain circuitry from the high-current output. Today's lineup covers power amplifiers and preamplifiers, and owners who want one box can start with the integrated amplifier.
