Diamond 25 mkII - the smallest representative of the floor-standing speaker series in the new, refreshed version, with an unusual 2.5-way speaker differentiation for the midwoofers.
Diamond 25 mkII - the smallest representative of the floor-standing speaker series in the new, refreshed version, with an unusual 2.5-way speaker differentiation for the midwoofers. The top end of the frequency range is reproduced by a modified version of the well-known from the previous series tweeter by the Danish Scan-Speak, this time based on a neodymium magnetic system, with a front made of cellular rubber and a double resonance chamber. The modifications resulted in greater detail, control, and microdynamics in the highest frequencies, while simultaneously reducing non-linear distortions.
The upper midrange driver is a design from the Norwegian Seas, modified by our engineers. This time, it is equipped with a phase plug instead of a dust cap, providing more faithful reproduction of the crucial midrange, eliminating colorations in the higher range caused by resonances under the dust cap. Thanks to these adjustments, vocals have gained even more space and depth while retaining the character of the predecessor.
The lower end of the frequency range is entrusted to thevmidwoofer known from the previous design, equipped with a long and light aluminum-copper coil, ensuring sufficient dynamics, speed, and versatility in reproducing the lowest registers. Some say that perfection cannot be improved... And yet! Jasper 25 mkII is a refreshed version of the well-received largest Jasper, combining engineering perfection and top-class sound.
The heart of the new Jaspers, similarly to its predecessor, are proven designs from Scanspeak. The transducers used were specially selected in a series of acoustic measurements and subjective tests. A pair of legendary 18 cm Revelators are responsible for the midrange and low end. We entrusted the top to a silk tweeter with one of the lightest (the dome weighs only 0.18 g) vibrating systems that can be found in speakers of this type.
Using the many years of experience of our engineers and extensive research facilities (including an anechoic chamber and a laser accelerometer), we have made every effort to create perfect conditions for the transducers to work. In order to equalize their acoustic centers in the most critical mid-high section, we created a body devoid of cuboid forms. The rigidity of the structure is ensured by a front made of layered sandwich panels and precisely placed reinforcements of the housing, eliminating any resonances that negatively affect the sound.
In the mkII version, we placed particular emphasis on calibrating the technical properties of the set, including changing the bass-reflex tuning and modifying the filters. As a result of the changes, we obtained an extension of the low-frequency range with its better control and greater neutrality and musicality of the midrange.
Our passion and persistence in striving for perfection resulted not only in a visually impressive and excellently finished construction. Jasper 25 mkII is primarily about sound: from a diverse, perfectly controlled bottom, through a saturated and rich midrange to a natural top. Jaspers are coherent, musical and unusually detailed sound in the entire range of the band. The speakers are dedicated to rooms of 25 - 50 m2.
