Our take on the brand

Our interview with the brand
What are two key technological innovations or strong opinions that differ you from other brands?
At Voxativ, we follow the philosophy of absolute signal purity – this is why we design and build our own wideband drivers entirely in Berlin, without any crossover components in the signal path. One key innovation is our patented Acoustic Stealth Technology, which allows the drivers to produce full-range sound with stunning resolution and dynamics, all from a single voice coil.
Secondly, we believe in the synergy of engineering and craftsmanship: all our cabinets are handmade with precision joinery and fine veneers, acting as musical instruments rather than mere housings. This holistic approach results in a level of emotional engagement that we believe is quite rare in high-end audio.
What's your approach to customer support?
We always encourage customers to contact their local dealer or distributor first – they are part of the Voxativ family and trained to assist with all typical needs. However, if a customer prefers, or if the issue is more specialized, they are always welcome to contact us directly.
We pride ourselves on building long-lasting relationships with our clients, and that includes aftercare. Whether it's helping a customer reconfigure their system, adjust positioning, or even upgrade older components, we're always just a phone call or email away. We've even flown across the globe to personally install or fine-tune systems – because music, like friendship, deserves personal attention.
What are your favorite tracks for showcasing the strength of your products?
Keith Jarrett – Köln Concert (Part I): This piece shows how naturally and intimately our systems reproduce piano timbre and room acoustics.
Youn Sun Nah – My Favorite Things: Her voice, full of subtlety and nuance, is a great test of transparency and realism.
Yello – The Race: Dynamic, detailed, and rhythmically complex – a thrilling way to show off bass precision and soundstage layering.

The Hagen II Monitor sound reproduction is linear over the entire frequency range and free from signal altering affects caused by crossovers or other passive components. The signal remains as pure as possible.
New in 2024 is the optimized Horn contour and the new drivers: AF-19 or AF-2B. These do have an optimized linearity and more bass than the predecessors. Also new in 2024 is the full Metal Version: The complete housing is produced out of 0,5" (13mm) thick Aluminium plates. This gets heavy: 38lbs (20 kg). And the sound? Simply wonderful.
The housing design is a short back-loaded horn, but modified with our unique Voxativ Acoustic Stealth Technology® (AST®). It prevents the build up of unwanted resonances and standing waves within the housing in a way that helps to tame the colorations that could occur.
Our new 5" handmade paper cone drivers light yet rigid cone is made from Japanese calligraphy paper. This cone is driven by our Neodymiun magnet design inclusive of the AF-1.9 or AF-2B. The Hagen II Monitor is made with highest quality workmanship – coated with real piano lacquer that dresses this premium speaker with an elegant shine.
Our summary
Product Strengths
- Phenomenal transient speed and incisiveness without blur or overhang
- Extremely visual and pin-point locked soundstage
- Energetically front-row centre, though on visual perspective—casts a stage of capacious depth far behind
Product Considerations
- The upper range of female voices was slightly elevated to give a small dose of beyond-textbook presence
- Harbeth fans and annual subscribers to opera balcony seat would pass, because Hagen isn't about their more laid-back hall sound perspective
- Overdamping betrays a hyper-clipped cadence with super-short decays, crippled bass, and far too much white in the colour palette
Takeaway: Hagen's directness and leave-no-doubts diction stand out, making it an excellent candidate, especially with the right amplifier. It is a great choice for listeners who want a front-row center experience with a visual and pin-point locked soundstage.

- Includes Uni-Core force-canceling woofers that reduce cabinet vibrations, contributing to balanced and detailed bass

- Some reviewers found the bass lacked definition in the upper bass, with unclear instrument placement, even after adjusting EQ settings
- The included remote control is considered basic or cheap
- Mandatory online registration and administrator-level internet connection requirements for the app may be a drawback for privacy-conscious users

- Articulate sound, especially in the upper midrange and treble regions.
- Very good imaging, with strong definition and delineation between instruments and performers.
- Vivid and clear midrange, revealing subtle details in recordings.
- Transparency ensures more of the music is heard as it was intended.

- The bass can sound a bit thin, depending on room size and personal preference.
- Can sound a little bit cool when playing certain types of music.
Comparisons (according to reviewers)
- Vs KEF R11 Meta—KEFs presented more physical scale with respect to soundstage, with even greater width.

Our take on the brand
Our Summary
Product Strengths
- Remarkable sound power and early directivity indexes make it a true point source speaker.
- Special sound quality for the price offers a level of performance not typically found in speakers at this price point.
- Very good neutrality is present when the speaker is turned off axis.
- It is a very versatile speaker to drive.
- The midrange presentation is very dead center and coherent.
Product Considerations
- The bass does not reach as low as some listeners might prefer.
- The speaker can get bright at times.
- Care should be taken to place it not directly on axis, because when placed directly on axis, it is no longer a neutral speaker.
- There's no stand included in the package.
- It is made in China, and construction can be suspect.
Comparisons (according to reviewers)
- Vs PureAudioProject Duet 15, the SourcePoint 10 is more precise and focused, while the PureAudioProject has a bigger soundstage.
- Vs Fleetwood Deville SQ, they sounded more alike than different when in action, but SourcePoint was more extended from top to bottom and brought more lively dynamics and impact.
- Vs Klipsch Heresy IV, the SourcePoint 10 is the superior speaker in every way from build to sound, with more refinement and smoothness, and it seems just as dynamic as the Klipsch.
- Vs Dynaudio Special 40s, the SourcePoint 10 sounds much bigger, more dynamic, has much better bass, and fills a room with ease.
- Vs KEF LS50 META, the LS50 sounds smaller, leaner, and not as special in the vocal region.
Takeaway:
The SourcePoint is a speaker with a neutral sound that originates from a single point, and it has remarkable early directivity indexes. It is a speaker that offers very good performance for the money, but careful attention needs to be paid to its placement in the room.

Our take on the brand
Our Summary
Product Strengths
- Solidly built with an inert cabinet, contributing to overall performance
- Crazy linear/neutral sound from about 100Hz upwards
- The beryllium tweeter provides nuanced, airy, and extended highs with a hint of shimmer for realistic metallic instruments
- It creates a three-dimensional soundstage, making the speakers disappear sonically
Product Considerations
- It does not have a great deal of bass on its own and may require a subwoofer for full-range playback, starting its roll-off at around 100Hz
- While placement is flexible, a solid amplifier is required
- The styling might be an acquired taste and could be considered overcomplicated by some
- The high gloss finishes may not appear different from less expensive speakers, making it harder to justify the luxury price tag
Comparisons (according to reviewers)
- Vs Bowers & Wilkins 805 D4: The S4B is more neutral/accurate, while the 805 D4 adds bass and treble energy
- Vs Focal Canta No. 1: The S4B outperforms the Canta No. 1, which has chestiness in its bass and midrange due to its cabinet
- Vs Revel Studio 2: The S4B reminded the reviewer of the Revel Studio 2, though the Revels had more bass
- Vs Focal Diablo Utopia: The Perlisten are a great alternative if the Utopias are outside of your reach and are a more neutral and less bright speaker
- Vs EgglestonWorks Nico Evo: The EgglestonWorks presentation is a little more mid-forward and less 3D than the Perlisten
Takeaway: The Perlisten S4b is a high-performing speaker that offers excellent clarity and a neutral sound, making it a great choice for audiophiles and home cinema enthusiasts alike. The speaker's ability to create a detailed and immersive soundstage can bring music and movies to life.
