What's unique about the brand

Acora Acoustics is unique in the hifi industry for using granite enclosures in their speakers, with the founder's stone industry background enabling precise CNC-machined construction with tolerances under 0.1mm. The granite cabinets provide exceptional rigidity and non-resonant properties, while their seamless crossover design eliminates resistors in the signal path, contributing to exceptional transient response and clarity.

What reviewers are saying

We read all the reviews. Here's what reviewers feel most strongly about:

  • Acora Acoustics' speaker enclosures are made from granite, offering exceptional rigidity and minimal resonance, contributing to their unique sound.
  • The brand's speakers employ a 2-way design to minimize phase incoherence, reflecting a belief in minimizing compromise within crossover design.
  • Setup is a meticulously important step. Some models even have brand representatives personally supervise unpacking and installation for customers.
  • They voice their speakers to be neutral, enabling listeners to tailor the sound to their preferences using different amplifiers and front-end components.

Our favorite reviewer quotes:

  • "The VRCs do many things right, but they are second to none when it comes to providing naturally inflected dynamics ranging from loud to soft, and everything in between. Several aspects of the VRCs' design are responsible for the loudspeakers' nonpareil reproduction of musical transients, including the physical and electronic time-alignment of the drivers, the construction of the drivers themselves, the inert nature of the enclosure, the coupling of the loudspeaker to the floor, and meticulous setup." (https://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/acora-acoustics-vrc-loudspeaker)
  • "They sound astonishing even thrown haphazardly in the room, throwing an enormous soundstage that even in poor rooms seems to wrap around your head, enveloping you and reaching from floor to ceiling. It also becomes apparent that these speakers are exceptionally fast and have low distortion." (https://pt.audio/2022/03/18/acora-srb-speakers-review-follow-up)
  • "After living with Acora Acoustics SRC-2 loudspeakers in my listening room, I consider these granite speakers to be the newest member of a very small group of speaker systems that are the absolute state of the art in music reproduction. For the last few months, I have witnessed firsthand the incredible coherence, stunning presentation of spatial information, wide and smooth bandwidth, and limitless ability to reveal dynamic contrasts." (https://pt.audio/2020/11/14/acora-acoustics-src-2-loudspeakers-review)
  • "The coherence and liquid smoothness of presentation combine with the true-to-source nature of Acora speakers at large for an experience which is probably my favorite of the entire lineup. The softer breakup modes of the soft dome tweeter, and the slightly softer sound of the quartz enclosure versus the absolute precision of the SRC/B granite, gives an effortlessness of presentation to the QRC-1 that is addicting to me for acoustic recordings." About the brand

With roots in acoustic consultancy, FinkTeam applies advanced measurement techniques and custom crossover designs, featured prominently in their Borg and KIM speakers, to achieve precise soundstage imaging and low coloration. Their standout models, such as the Borg, feature carefully tuned passive radiators for seamless bass response.

Our interview with the brand

What are two key technological innovations or strong opinions that differ you from other brands?

We are working hard to reduce the negative influence of cabinet vibrations, but without the sledgehammer method. We have our own drive unit development team and our own woodshop to make cabinets, operated by a master carpenter. We are basically an engineering team with a lot of measurement equipment, working for the big industry, making the FinkTeam speaker because we can  and because this is our passion.

What's your approach to customer support?

Customers can contact us or the distributor, so we can find the best way to sort out problems. As a small company, we don’t need complicated formal procedures.

What are your favorite tracks for showcasing the strength of your products?

That’s a difficult one, as some tracks are what we call "limit tracks“ to find the balance of the speakers. But we have a few we like:

Toto, I will remember, Beyoncé, Blackbird, Malia & Blank, Magnetic Lies, Brina Bromberg, elephants on ice skates, John Lee Hooker with Van Morrison, The Waterfront.

What other products pair best with yours?

We like electronic from Soulnote, Japan and tube electronics from CANOR in Slovakia. Internally, we also use SPL Pro equipment and MATRIX for streamers.
