Consonus is an American speaker company founded by audio engineers Igor Levitsky and Eugene Gribov. The Tide system, which debuted at AXPONA 2024, is a four-way, fully active design with a sealed 13-inch subwoofer, an open baffle 9.5-inch midwoofer and dipole planar ribbon drivers that Levitsky first designed for cinema sound. Quad-channel DSP amplifiers give every driver its own channel, and each system is tuned in the room where it will play. Owners who want to use their own tube or solid-state amplifier can order an optional passive crossover for the ribbons.
