Brinkmann is a German maker of turntables, tonearms and electronics. Helmut Brinkmann personally checks every component before it ships. The turntables come in belt-drive and magnetic direct-drive versions, with a heated bearing on the belt-drive design and optional tube power supplies for the direct-drive ones, and the company makes its own tonearms and motors. Its phono stage mixes bipolar transistors with NOS Telefunken tubes and lets owners set gain and impedance separately for each input, so one unit can be matched to several cartridges. The streaming DAC has a digital module the owner can replace.
