Energy is a loudspeaker brand whose designs grew out of psychoacoustic research into accuracy and low distortion. At the heart of its speakers is the Convergent Source Module, which places the tweeter as close as possible to the mid/woofer so the drivers do not interfere, giving wide dispersion and even response off axis. Its woofers use Ribbed Elliptical Surrounds, shaped as an ellipse instead of the traditional half roll, which Energy says lowers distortion. For home theater, Energy offers a set of satellites, a subwoofer and a center channel.
